SO Dave Jackson and DSO Graham Hale were called to investigate a report of a goat stuck on the cliffs at Pendower.
After a search of the area the goat was found to be about 50 feet down the cliff and 10 feet above water level. Dave and Graham decended the cliff and tried to make contact with the animal with surprising results. The goat stood up, shook itself and proceded to climb straight up a vertical cliff face!
After a few choice words the two would-be rescuers decided that the goat was in no danger.
It was later discovered that the goat had escaped from a local smallholding and had been on the cliff for some time.
