1631hrs. We were tasked to go to Porthcurno beach were an 8yr old girl on holiday was playing jumping off a rock and landed badly causing severe back pain.

Porthcurno lifeguards were on scene and were treating the girl and had put her on a spinal board, Rescue 193 was tasked  and was soon on scene. Orange smoke was set off to indicate the position and wind direction.

Once landed the girl was put into the helicoptor's scoop stretcher still strapped to the spinal board and carried to the helicopter and flown to Treliske hospital.

The girl was on holiday with her parents.
