The Team were called out after a report of someone calling for help in the Porthcurno area.

With gale force easterly winds and a heavy swell the team were only able to search from the cliff top as it was deemed too dangerous for a sea level search to take place. The Rescue Helicopter R193 from RNAS Culdrose was requested to carry out a sea level search and as the light failed nothing was found.

A false alarm with good intent was the final verdict.
