The Team were tasked to investigate a report of a diver in trouble 500 yards off the Vessacks Rocks near Pothchapple beach.
The object was pointed out to SO Dave Jackson by the first informant and he called a passing fishing vessel the FV "Golden Fleece" and requested that she turn about to get a close up view of the object.
The skipper kindly complied and it was soon obvious that the object was in fact a pot bouy marker that looked like a diver.
False alarm with good intent.
