Sennen Cove Lifeboat and Lands End team tasked to search for a broken down cruiser somewhere off Porthcurno with two persons on board.

The vessel was spotted by a search party 50 yards from rocks near Treen Dinas [Logan Rock] and this information was radioed to the lifeboat and Falmouth Coastguard.

There were heavy seas and an on-shore wind but the crew had deployed their anchor and it was holding.

The vessel was taken in tow by the lifeboat to Newlyn.
