15 00 hrs.

Called to Pednvounder where a local woman was walking to the beach and slipped on the footpath and injuring her ankle. She was given oxygen for shock while waiting for R193 to get on scene.

Once on scene people were stopped from coming up from the beach while the helicopter manouvered into a position were the diver could be lowered.

He treated the woman before she was put into a stretcher and winched into the helicopter and flown to Treliske Hospital.

Members of the public who waited patiently to leave the beach deserve a thank-you for their patience and understanding throughout the rescue.
