Tasked to assist a woman, Rita Thornberry, from Wolverhampton who had a broken ankle. She was located above Pedn Vounder Beach.

After a short search she was found and the Cornwall Air Ambulance was tasked. The Air Ambulance paramedics treated her on-scene and then the CG team, assisted by the Porthcurno lifeguards, carried her some distance on their stretcher to the waiting helicopter.
