The team were called to recover a cow that had got itself stuck down a gulley near Pendower cove, a local vet and   a member of the R.S.P.C.A attended. On inspection it was found the cow had a broken leg and had to be put down.
The carcass was lowered to the beach below and recovered by tractor and rope, C Wood, R Coatman, R Hatfield, J Olds, C Morley, M Williams and trainee E Semmens attended.
