The Lands End team , joined  by the Penzance team, the Police, the Penlee A W Lifeboat and I L B, The Cornwall Rescue Group and R193 from Culdrose were tasked to search for a missing male who left a suicide note in his car at Lamorna cove.  The area was searched around the cove by all and the Police helicopter searched as well. The search  area was widened as nothing was found. At one time search teams were as far west as Gwennap Head and up to Kemyel to the south.When the police helicopter left the scene Rescue 193 arrived  to continue the  search , sometime  later a body was spotted  by  R193 amongst rocks near Merthan Point. Team members G Hale C McClary and A Semmens were put  aboard the helicopter to assist with the recovery of the body , the Penlee lifeboat stood by.  The body was later taken to Treliske Hospital.
