All the members of the Lands End Cliff Rescue Team are highly trained professionals who give up a vast amount of their spare time not only to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but to undertake the required training.

They are all volunteers and are not paid a 'retainer'.

A 'shout' can be anything from securing a stricken vessel and bringing the crew to safety to fetching a cow, goat or dog from the bottom of inacessable cliffs.

They do this in all weathers all year round and always with a smile.
